Lydia Dickinson Ramsdell (b. 2001, Lynchburg VA.) is a Photographer and Artists’ Bookmaker, combining lens-based media with traditional and experimental bookmaking techniques. Her work functions as a form of alternative communication and expression of vulnerability through careful attention to detail, light, and a 'wielding’ of happenstance. Ramsdell’s images are entered into an ongoing personal archive to be drawn from during later bookmaking projects, in which she aims to unify the permanent and tactile qualities of The Archive, with the ephemeral nature of an image. 


Ramsdell received a BFA in Photography from Parsons School of Design in 2024.
